"Many Christians believe that Evolution is perfectly compatible with their Christian Faith. Mike shows why this thinking is wrong and how it undermines and makes a nonsense of the Gospel when truly it is evolution that is nonsense. Mike shows that he is not only a good historian and good scientist, but he is also a good Bible teacher and Theologian. Mike’s study of the True Gospel in his first chapter is excellent and shows beyond a doubt that it is impossible to believe in evolution and preach a sound Gospel message at the same time. And for those who want the Science, the Appendices that take up half the book have all the science needed to back up the Theology. This is a book that I believe should be read by every Christian, it is well worth the price."
Martin Emerson, Light in the Darkness, Winter 2004 Catalogue.

"Mike Gascoigne's second book is a sound exploration of why the Christian faith is incompatible with, and diametrically opposed to, Darwin's Theory of Evolution." full text...

Summary

If there were millions of years of evolution, before the creation of Adam and Eve, what does the Bible mean when it says they would die as a consequence of eating the forbidden fruit? If they were already mortal, they would die anyway. How can we say that Christ gives us eternal life, and we will rise to immortality, if we were never immortal in the first place?

This book attempts to restore the true Gospel, which teaches that Adam and Eve were created immortal, and the complete work of Christ is that we should live with him forever in a world where the pre-fall conditions have been fully restored.

The theological arguments are supplemented with scientific appendices, giving compelling evidence that the world in which we live has been created. Since the book is a mixture of science and theology, it is likely to be read by people of varying technical ability. There is a non-technical abstract of the thermodynamics section, for the benefit of those who do not wish to follow the complete discussion, which includes some mathematics. It was considered necessary to take a rigorous approach to thermodynamics, including some mathematics, because it shows beyond doubt that things are going downwards, not upwards. The other scientific sections, on chemical evolution and cosmology, do not contain any maths.

The section on philosophy shows that life did indeed come from water, but not in the way that evolutionists suppose. It emerged into the post-deluvian world, through the waters of the Flood, and this is borne out by Egyptian and Greek mythology.
